Blogging Day 250: Shopping Fun @ Forever21, Torrid & Nordstorm Racks

* DON'T FORGET TO BECOME A PUBLIC FOLLOWER TO ENTER TO WIN A JUICY COUTURE CANDLE! AS OF RIGHT NOW YOU HAVE A 1 IN 10 CHANCE TO WIN THE CANDLE!!! CHECK BLOGGING DAY:247 DOR DETAILS*

This is the lovely stuff I bought when I was at the Mall of America. It was basically an accessory trip. I had just gotten off the plane and was not into trying any clothes. Still had tons of fun exploring though.
First @ Forever 21 Accessory Store:

I heart pink and just grabbed this necklace. I am trying to buy spring color clothes, and I think this will go nicely with all the creme colors I have purchased.

The reason I was in Minnesota in the first place was for my Grandpa's wedding. These earring's just seemed to be a theme for the weekend.

I like chunky bracelets and sparkly things. This bracelet was perfect.

Next was Torrid:

Another sparkly bracelet. Can never have enough since I seem to lose a lot of them all the time.

I <3 this ring! I wish I had skinnier fingers because I would love to have a Vivienne Westwood Ring. I must find one for chunky girls!

Last but not least Nordstorm's Racks:

These are the coolest sunglasses! I love the little heart! These are Betsy Johnson glasses! I saw a store for her in the mall, and I walked in just to check it out and I was like WOW! Love this stuff, but not the prices. Nordstorm's Racks had much better prices.

They had two colors of this skull bracelet. I bought a black one for my friend and the white one for me. Friends should always have matching stuff, even it a skulls with bows bracelets.

I am so tired, but I'm watching Secret Life of a Bionerd on BlogTV and she is giving away some cool prizes. Must stay AWAKE!!

Blogging Day 249: 38 On my Bucket List: ACCOMPLISHED!!!

*** Don't forget to become a public follower to get a chance to win a Juicy Couture Candle! See Blogging Day: 247 for details ****

38. Eat alone at a sit-in restaurant and be comfortable about it.  ACCOMPLISHED

I was walking around Mall of America and I had been looking around for a restaurant to eat, and I was starving. It was around 2pm and I had not eaten anything since 5am at the airport . I was at Mall of America, mall of all malls, and I wasn't going to eat some silly fast food restaurant. I was on the hunt for good food.

On the third level( there are four), I saw this sign that said ,"CRAVE" and I took a picture of it, thinking this was just some random sign. I walked a litte bit further and noticed it was a restaurant, intrigued by the name, I decided to eat there.

Not having ever eaten at this place before I told the waiter to feed what she thought was best. The food was amazing! I wish I had not formatted that stupid disk, I took pretty pictures of my food. I wanted to make you guys jealous of my food experience...*sad face*

Anyway,  I started with the ' Crave Grilled Chicken Salad',  that had chicken, leafy greens, pine nuts, goat cheese and an amazing vinaigrette. Normally, I'm not a fan of goat cheese because it tends to be grainy, but this cheese was very creamy.

Next I had the 'Godzilla' sushi, that had spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, cream cheese, avocado, cucumber, topped with  seaweed salad, and crunchy flakes. It was SO hot spicy. I was sweating by the end of my meal. Hotter the better I always say, or at least recently. I'm acquiring a taste for spicy foods.

For a drink, I had a Ginger Pear Martini, which is OK. I will not have it again, but it was nice to try. You always have to try everything once, and I was very intrigued by the ginger. Oh, well.

If you guys are ever in the area, you have to check out Crave @ the Mall of America. Worth the trip! The food and the service was supherb.

I didn't realize I was accomplishing one the things on my list at the time. I just kept thinking I need to eat more by myself. It's so much easier to concentrate on the food in front of me and enjoy all the flavors.

Either way, #38 is accomplished. 6 down, only 94 to go. I better get a crackalackin!

I found this candle at Marshalls. I <3 shopping at Marshalls, you can always find brand name clothes at super cheap prices( do I sound like a commercial?). Either way,. i bought two, one for myself and another for a lucky winner.

**I can not think of anything else that is important, but if I do, I will refine the rules. But, it looks pretty short and sweet.

Blogging Day 243: Playing The Nun

I performed my monologues last night, and evidently I did OK.  I was the first one to go because I can not stand sitting there waiting as my heart goes bump-bump and the butterflies in my stomach run a muck. My advise for everyone, is that if your are going to be tortured with public speaking, go first. That way you can relax  and enjoy as you watch everyone else around you sweat and go through their own torture without worrying about your own.

Speaking of torture, the one problem I have with my class is that I wish the professor would give us a written evaluation of our performance.  Afterward our individual performances, we go through what he likes to call 'the gauntlet' and he reviews our plays. Basically, he critiques on what we did bad and what we did good.

I can never remember a thing that he says. The whole entire time he is talking to me, I'm thinking, " Let me go. Let me go. Let me go. Let me go." My mind is completely blank except for those thoughts.I know he is talking to me because I can see him looking at me and his mouth is moving and the subconscious part of my brain acknowledges that, but I all my main brain is focused on is getting back to my seat. Nothing like being told you suck in front of your classmates to put your body in flight or fight mode.

So, yeah a written evaluation I can read when I am much calmer/saner would be nice.

Either way two performances down, and one left to go. For my final skit my group and I will be doing a play call 'Diversions' by Christopher Durang. I get to play 'The Nun'. I wasn't quite sure how I felt about playing the Nun at first. Then, I found a video of the play on YouTube and after I watched the clip, I was excited.

You have to check out this play! I think it's hilarious. The videos is not the best, but the audio will move you along.
FYI- my brother, Mr. Fun with Perler Beads, will be playing the Judge.

I thought they did the play perfectly!

My group and I only have three weeks to get this play together. Here's hoping we are as funny as this group!

Blogging Day 242: I Didn't Die

I survived my plane trip and didn't die in some horrible plane crash!

THANK GOD!

I was so nervous about flying to my Grandfather's wedding. Right before we took off I had this sudden urge to jump up and scream, "Stop the plane, I'm getting off!"

Of course, right after that I was rocketed off into the sky. The scariest part, is right before take off, and the pilot is gunning the engine and you can feel him gaining speed. Your body is being pushed back into your seat and you look up and you can tell the plane is at an angle while going up because you have to look up to see the guy five seats in front of you.

Even better, is when the plan turns, and you have the window seat that looks straight down to the ground.

**shiver**

It was worth it though, the wedding was amazing. I had fun hanging out with my family. I got to drop some money at the Mall of America(squeal!!!!). Visited my grandma's grave, left her chocolate, carmel and cherry coke, things she was never 'suppose' to have in real life.... Though she would always sneak when no one is looking.

At the wedding my Grandfather looked so happy and like a teenager in love. Very lucky to find love twice. Personally, I think he's showing off. I have yet to be married once and he's doing it twice!!!

MEN!!!

Of course, the ride home was a lot better. I relaxed and took pictures of the land below me. I got some really cool pictures of the Great Lakes, farm land, the sun setting and us flying over a thunder storm....

....

Of course, I accidentally, formatted my memory card....

YES YOU HEARD ME!!

THE DUMB BLONDE FORMATTED HER MEMORY CARD!

EVERY PICTURE I TOOK ON MY TRIP UP NORTH IS GONE! GONE! GONE!

GONE!!!!!!

I'm alittle bitter...

These are the only pictures I could get after I deleted my *&@^# pictures.

FYI- What you see is us going over a storm, and us passing through it. It's very beautiful, but very scary at the time.

Blogging Day 237: Geocaching in Minnesota & Maple Syrup

There is not a lot to do in Aiken, Minnesota that is close. Normally, in the land of 10,000 thousand lakes, we would go swimming everyday. But, in the middle of April, with snow coming tomorrow, and ice still on the lakes.....

I decide that, that would not be a good idea. I do not fancy that being a human popsicle is fun, nor am I curious to find out...

Before I begin, you ask, what is Geocaching??

Well, I have a lovely video or you...

I could not do a better introduction then the above video that is on Geocaching's homepage.

They have caches all over the world, even at the pyramids in Egypt!!!!

I'm adding this website to my awesome website list. A very cool website to have in your favorites.

Anyway, this is the cache we found.

The cache was hidden in a group of birch trees that had logs in between that formed an 'X'.

My mom was the first to point it out stating," I bet it's in there. X marks the spot".

She of course was right... as mothers always are.

Now, as were driving along, my mom noticed these green plastic containers with plastic tubing coming out of trees all along the road.

Weird, huh?
My dad explained that the trees were maple trees and it was getting the sap out of the trees.

FYI-It's alot of work to make maple syrup!! For every 40 gallons of maple syrup you only get 1 gallon of maple syrup!!! ONE!!!!

This is how a manufacture makes maple syrup:

This how they do it at home:

Before watching this video, I didn't think the sap came out in liquid form. Evidently it does at that time of year.

A lot of work to make maple syrup. No wonder it is so expensive in stores.

Blogging Day 236: Minnesota Vacation

Just to let you know I am currently hanging out in Minnesota and made the tough decision to leave my amazing labtop @ home. :(

So far it has been ok. I'm currently using my Grandfather's computer, and have no negative side effects of not having my labtop with me.... yet.

Time will only tell. Eventually my blood will need a cyber kick to keep it following.

Either way I have not and will not be blogging seriously till Monday when I go home.

It's beautiful up here! COLD, but beautiful!

Blogging 230: The First Taste is Always Free!

That is what a friend of mine always says when she gives me samples from Lush. I fall in love with their products with just a tiny sample and then, like an addict I need more... There goes my money...

Anyway, I have been hearing about the new show from AMC called 'The Killing'. I missed the premiere and I was mad at myself, but figured I could wait until the DVDs come out.

THEN, I went on iTunes. I allow myself to buy 10 songs every paid day and that is it... I would buy more if I didn't give myself a limit.ANYWAY... I went to the TV shows to check it out, and saw a link for The Killing, and I thought, " Hey., its only a dollar to rent an episode, why not try 'The Killing' out.

THE EPISODES WERE FREE!!! They only had two episodes up, and I believe they have only aired two episodes. Either way, I'm totally hooked!!!!! The show is amazing!! The actors are amazing, even though some of them are a bit creepy... still an awesome show!

You guys have to go on iTunes and download these two episodes. You will be hooked and I  be glued to the TV every Sunday night @ 10pm! I have only done that for two other shows, Lost and The Walking Dead.

Download atleast the pilot, to see what I mean..... AWESOME!!!

Here's the trailer:

I'm not sure if I like this one as much as I did as the other one... What do you think? Do you like it?

Blogging Day 228: Has Anyone Seen My Monologue?

I have been looking for this thing for the past two weeks. For the past four days, I went into serious search mode and started ripping things off thebook shelf, just to find this stupid monologue! My room is a mess... nothing new, but more of a mess then normal, especially since I cleaned half of it last week!!

The monologue is for my acting class that I am taking this semester. It has been one of the hardest classes! I'm used to computer and math type problems. This class involves emotions and standing in front of peers and trying to act, and being no where near an Oscar performance!

ANYWAY... we had been working on a dialogue and before we were done we go our next assignment, the monologue.  I was reading and starting to form my character, but stopped because I hadn't finished my first assignment and didn't want the two characters to get mixed up. So, I put the monologue away in a safe place so I wouldn't be tempted to practice....

Well... I forgot where the safe place was!!! I have found  $20, lost library books, and other such lost items, that I do not want o to find!!!! I want that stupid monologue!!!! Though, the 20 bucks is nice to have...

I have determined to think it ran away from me.... either that it is playing a really good game or hide and seek. Sometimes, I hear maniacal laughing at night... I bet it's my monologue laughing at my frustration!!!!

SO CRUEL!!!

Pray for me... because I am obviously going insane!!!!!!
